Every once in awhile, not all of the time I hit the close button on my key fob 3 times to lock the doors and close the windows. The doors do lock but the windows cycle to the close position and then reverse to the full open position. This leaves my car, locked with the windows fully open. If this has ever happened to anyone else please chime in as I am running out of ideas.
It has not happened to me but perhapes the problem is in your fob. If you have another switch and see how it works. Also read the sticky above by bill curle about electrical problems he has some intersting information about the grounds geting coroided and causeing many electrical problems. He has diagrams of were the grounds are and other intersting information. Also I believe that there is away to reprogram your fob in the owners manual.
Sounds like the WV needs re-calibrated. It is designed to time how long it takes the windows to reach the top. If that gets out then the WV assumes something is in the windows and it will lower the windows again. It is a saftey thing. Look in the manual for the recalibrate procedure. If you don't have a manual I think they have them on their website. If not I can dig one up around here somewhere.

You need to reset the settings. I had the same problem when I changed my rear rubber seal (coupe) for the removable top.
Took me about an hour of fiddling with to get it corrected. The unit is sensing an obstruction and automatically re-opening.
Check out their website for directions, the pin is the five digits on the white tag.
Wash your windows. If they are a little dirty the friction will fool the valet into believing there is an obstruction. Clean the glass and it will probably be fine.
I had the exact same problem and I contacted the company that I purchased the window valet from and this is the response that they sent me and it worked.
The safety mechanism in the Window Valet reads the
current drawn by the window motor to determine when
the upper window seal is reached and to detect an
obstruction or blockage. Based on the symptoms
described, I'm willing to bet that the driver side
window moves with a lot more resistance than usual.
Here's one way to check this:
With both windows completely down, raise them
simultaneously from the driver door panel window
control buttons. I think the passenger window will
reach the top much more quickly.
For subtle differences between cars, we have a mode
that raises the over-current threshold a little bit.
This may or may not work in this case as it appears
more extreme than what we've encountered in the past.
Here's how to try it:
Enter configuration mode by holding 'reset' and
tapping the driver's door 'unlock' button.
Press '4' for configuration menu.
Press '1' for windows.
Press '4' for window up strength, strong (Note that
the window motor strength does not actually increase,
but the minimum resistance limit that the Window Valet
finds acceptable does increase, so it will not turn
the motor off quite as quickly.)
With the new setting, follow the window enable and
calibration procedure as if the unit were newly
installed.
If this does not work, the optimal solution would be
to solve the window resistance issue. Sometimes
environmental changes can affect the flexibility and
suppleness of the window seal, or there could be a mechanism.
Let me know if you need further assistance. If the
units requires tweaking, we can have the original
manufacturer do this at no charge.

window alignment problem that causes issues.
Another note, if both windows take the same time to
travel upward, maybe the current reading reported by
the driver door module is high for other (electrical)
reasons. If this is the case, we could custom tweak
the Window Valet code to more lenient. This would,
however, reduce the effectiveness of the safety
Man I love this forum. I got some solid answers on my window valet problem and will be working on fixing the gremlins. By the way my Vette is a 02 Vert with 24k miles.
I think this happens if the windows are not all the way down to begin with.
Seems I had the drivers side window up about 2 inches to keep it from rattling with the stereo on. Lowered the window and everything reset just fine. Thank's again,
