Tire Questions...
Ordered new tires thru Tire Rack today. GY F1 Supercar non-r/f.
(for ZO6 wheels) Half of the order is b/o and half 3 wks out. Anyone else run in to this problem? Any Tire Rack customer comments? Price is great at $1289.17 shipped, just not happy with the long wait...

I will never buy tires again from anywhere BUT Tirerack. I've never found any better deals and have always had a good buying experience. Recently bought Kumho Run Flats..The fronts came from a different shipping point than the rears but were there two days later.. Usually when you order from Tirerack it notes the availability of the tires...whether on back order and from which Tirerack facility tires are available...If you ordered tires that you knew were on back order...you gotta expect a wait.....

I have run into the same problem. I bought 2 rears a couple of months ago with no problem. At the time, the fronts were said to be available in 3 weeks. Since my fronts still had some tread left I just decided to wait. Over the weekend I decided to finally buy 2 fronts and they are still saying they will not be available until September 9. I am beginning to worry about the continuing availability of these tires. What if I went on a trip, had a blowout, and had to replace the tire? Is the tire shop going to tell me to wait 3 weeks? I am now stuck because I have these 2 new rear Goodyear SCs. I have to get Goodyear SCs on the front to match. The next time I get tires, I think I will get something that is more readily available.
By the way, I have checked all of the major on-line stores and it is the same story. I even checked with a local tire dealer and it is the same story. I don't know what is going on with Goodyear. They must only make a few hundred at a time and wait for those to sell out before they make any more. It is too bad because I really like the Goodyear SCs.
