Alternator issues
Hope someone can help. About 4 weeks ago I started throwing codes, mainly wheel sensor issues, then a check engine light and my cruise quit working, but no codes related to the battery and or charging system. I started checking grounds and connections and everything looks pretty good. Thought I would go to AutoZone and have the the charging system checked out. They test the battery, alternator and see if there any draws pulling current. The battery and draw test showed everything is ok. The amp test showed the diodes were ok but it showed the alternator was putting 197 amps which is much more than what it is supposed to be. I asked him to double check everything and he did with the same results. My question is why is my alternator putting out almost 200 amps and could this be a problem to my sensors and computers?
