Default Pcv Valve Where Is It How Do You Replace It?

Looking at the engine and the factory manuals I can's seem to find the PCV VALVE.

Located something on drivers side which I thought was the valve but it won' t budge.

How do you replace it?

I cannot speak to all C5s, but my pcv valve is on the drivers side, top, rear of the engine close to the firewall. It looks like an ordinary PCV valve (provided you know what a pcv valve looks like). I am also assuming that you have removed the rail cover on that side, otherwise it will be difficult to see.

Follow the line out of the rear of driver's side valve cover around back of engine. There is a bulge in the hose and it is in there.

my 97 has it across the rear of engine...but it is made on the hose and you have to replace the entire pc valve connection...not sold separately.......i just cleaned mine and put it back in......to replace it...it has several hoses made on it about 2 feet long goes from valve cover to valve cover ....its 70.00 buck for entire pcvalve system ...atleast it is on the 97

Default Pcv Valve

Thanks for the comments.

Found my C5 '98 PCV valve on the PASSENGERS SIDE on top if the valve covers in the bulge in the large hose running front to back.

Was very clean. Took it out and cleaned it with brake cleaner.

Good for another 5 yrs.

Why does GM move this part around so much?

Thought it was inside a large HARD PLASTIC round cover at the very rear of the drivers side valve cover. When I originally tried to remove this cover it looked like it would BREAK. What the heck is hidden underthis cover?

there is nothing under it...found out the hard way after taking it out...like to never got it back in!!! thats wierd ..cause my 97 shows on the fender well sticker, drivers side that my pvc should be same as yours..on the passenger side near valve cover...but it isnt...i found it behind intake close to firewall....wondering if its been changed out by previous owners???

04 on there is no vent on valve covers other than pass front into intake.
LS6 Valley cover vents into intake. No PCV valve.
You can plug yours and get LS6 valley and be way ahead.

Default G Spot

Reading through theses postings, it seems the PCV is more elusive than the mythical "G Spot".
