Performance Hood Seal by CAU
Last night I replaced my Mid-America hood seal with hood seal sold by Corvette Accessories Unlimited. The CAU hood seal is TEN times better than the Mid-America POS. The CAU seal is a little bit taller which allows it to properly "pinch" itself between the hood and the front bumper. Also, the CAU seal has A LOT better adhesive and I am confident that it will not be moving around whenever I open the hood when the engine is hot.
Before you castrate me for buying from a non-supporting vendor(Mid-America), I had bought the first hood seal from Zip Products, but when I received it, the packaging contained Mid-America's instructions. Apparently, they may resale or purchase the same hood seal from the same manufacturer?
In any event, I am very confident that the new hood seal will not let any water in now! I recommend this hood seal to anyone running a modified air box cover or a Donaldson filter!
Some of you may say, if I didn't modify the car I wouldn't have to worry about a properly fitting hood seal, but I can't help myself because I am addicted to horsepower (as my budget allows)!

Actually, aren't they a supporting vendor? I bought the same hood seal last week from the CAU icon on the forum vendor mall.

CAU is a CF vendor. I've purchased many items from them and the quality and service are first rate. In any event glad your happy with the hood seal. I too have one (purchased from MAD) and so far mine has stayed in place and seals nice and tight.
