It seems that about four thousand miles ago the feeling I get in my steering wheel is lighter. It used to be tight and now it feels real light (like an american sedan instead of a sports car). Anyone have any ideas of why this could happen? Is it in my head? I started to notice the difference after 13,000 miles. Thanks.

No codes- just feel. My vette's steering should not feel like a mid 80's GM sedan- right??? You think the shocks would go after 17,000 miles in South Florida? It's real smooth down here. Off topic- what's up Steve-O

if you're saying the steering has gotten real easy, as if on a caddy, where you just need one finger to spin the wheel, sounds like the power rack valving has blown an internal seal. is it real easy both ways or just one? your rack is very possibly bad internally- not a bad thing if you like the way it performs now, and as long as no external leaking. personally, i wouldnt like it. it could be dangerous to have steering like this. get it fixed.
