Surely SOMEBODY knows what causes this. I had it in the shop getting my exhaust installed and was wondering if somebody was trying to get the password. Heck, I don't even know what's the password. :mad
It sounds like power was lost to the BCM and PCM. There is a relearn process for password. I will try to find and post. It is something like leaving the switch on for 11 minutes three times in a row, then doing the idle relearn.
Performing the following proceedure causes a DTC P1630 to set when you complete the procedure. This is intended. When P1630 sets, turn OFF the ingition for 30 seconds, then turn ignition On and P1630 clears.
1. Turn ON the ignition, leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes
2. Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds
3. Turn ON the ignition, leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes
4. Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.
5. Turn ON the ignition, leaving the engine OFF for 11 minutes or until DTC P1630 sets.
6. Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds.
7. Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF for 30 seconds.
8. Attempt to start the engine. Should start and operate normally.

Thanks for the input. I would've got back sooner but I had to be in Maryland Sunday evening. Anyway, I checked again and it was a history code. I cleared it and it didn't come back. Atleast not during my trip to Maryland.
