Looking for a copy to review before I buy. I know that there are instructions for other sets available. I'd rather get it "from the horse's mouth" . Do you know where to download? Got a PDF? .DOC? Hard Copy? Glad to cover 'S&H' for a hard copy!
Barney,
ensure you have > 3' clearance under the car or you will not get the driver's side header up and in. I know. Totally brutal. Everything else is a piece of cake. On my 98, I did not have to pull the valve covers, and removed only the 5,6,7 & 8 coil packs. Plenty of room.
Thanks for the heads up! I just put in a lift last spring (worth every cent) otherwise I probably would not consider installing them myself. If you can think of anything else I need to know I would really appreciate your input! Do the cats and x-piped stay up in the body like the stockers (don't want no messed up ground clearance = $1500 pealed off on a speed bump, etc.)

The X-pipe and cats tuck up nicely. Dynatechs fit really well and as you can see the finish on them is very good.

You will love what it does to your Vette.
DISAGREE! I had my '01 front tires sitting on car ramps and I was able to get my driver's side header in - I didn't need 3' height - actually, my driver's side went in easier than the passenger side did.
Get Dynatech's - look good, sound good and easy install.

How the heck did you do that?? I should have had you help me put mine on!
I thought the passenger side was real easy to get in, but the driver's side, well, I'm glad I learned how to swear in the Navy. Used every expression I ever heard
I've got an A4 Auto if it matters - as I recall (last Feb or so), I slid the pass one in from the top - it was a tight fit and seemed to hit stuff, but I couldn't see what it was hitting - then, suddenly it just fit into place.
The drivers one, I know I removed the coil packs and the grounding strap. I did NOT remove or disconnect the steering linkage (shaft). I'm certain, (even as poor as my memory is) that I only had the car on ramps and that I got it to slip up - If my memory is faulty and I did use jack stands for the front, I would have used my small jackstands and my front would have not been more than 15 - 18 inches off the ground - but I think I used car ramps!
Anyway, I remember doing the passenger side first, swearing a little till it finally slipped in, then doing the drivers side, and thinking that the drivers side was really a piece of cake - little bit of an angle to it and it slid right in.
