Default Tps sensors???

I just purchased a set of zo6 17x9.5 upfront and 18x10.5 out back with firestone wide oval tires. Now will i run into any problems since these do not have the tps sensors in them or should i be ok? any help would be appreciated. I really dont want to have to install the tps sensors if i dont have to!!

you should be able to install them on the new rims, just mark them and replace them to the same wheel. I would still want to know the tire pressure if it was going low. They are easy to install. Most good tire guys know them.

To answer your question, you will get various warning messages on your DIC but it will not otherwise affect your ability to drive the car. You will be able to clear them with the reset button, but my experience is that they will come back with some regularity (and I mean while on the same drive, not just when you start and stop the engine). If your car is 2001 or newer, you should be able to disable the TPS monitor with a Tech II diagnostic tool (your dealer will have one and it takes all of two minutes to do if you know the steps). Good luck.
