Default Help with O2 codes

I just installed a set of LG Street headers w/o cats and I am getting the following codes now.

P0133 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0153 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Slow Response Bank 2 Sensor 1
P0140 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0160 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 2 Sensor 2
P1133 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1
P1153 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1

I know the P0140 and P0160 codes are tripping because I don't have the rear O2s plugged in. I have read that the P0133 and P0153 codes should be turned off, which I will have done when I have the rear O2s edited out of the PCM by my tuner.

What is the deal with the P1133 and P1153 codes? I have checked the O2 wires and they are not crimped, melted or damaged in any way. I have the right O2 going to the plug at the right side of the car and the left O2 going to the plug at the left side of the car. I have not used any additives or octane boosters in my gas either. What else should I check or do?

Aren't the LG's coated? Coated headers are a good killer of O2's.

I'd like to hear more about this. Do you mean coated on the inside or outside coatings too? I have heard of inside coatings messing with the sensors when the headers first get hot and melt off the excess.

I am thinking about having my new headers ceramic coated (outside only) to keep underhood temps down and save plug boots & wires, etc. I also thought that an exterior coating would help the O2's heat up more quickly, since less heat is being radiated (lost) from the primaries. Anybody think this is a good idea?

PUt the rear 02's that you aren't using up front. Erase codes. Wait to see if codes return.

It is possible that your 02's are just old and worn out. It happens.

This is with the rear O2s relocated to the front. The car only has 21000 miles on it so I don't think the O2s are bad. I have never had a code until after the header swap.

The O2s might have been damaged during the swap. If the sensors are bumpe or hit in anyway that will cause them to malfuntion.

LG makes adapters so that you can use rear O2 sensors up front which may do away with your 0133 & 0153 codes. Talk to Bobby at LG Motorsports.

What is the deal with the P1133 and P1153 codes?
Long tube headers typically locate the O2 bungs further downstream than normal. This allows the exhaust gas to cool before hitting the O2s. If the O2s aren't sufficiently hot, they won't switch as fast as they should. The reason many people relocated the rear O2s to the front is because the rear ones have a stronger heater. This doesn't always work though.
