How to remove under hood pad?

Default How to remove under hood pad?
How do you remove the underhood pad. will those fasteners unscrew or do you have to pry them out? I've turned one of them for about 5 min and it's loose but won't come out, I don't want to do any damage as I'm putting it back on after painting. Also what tool do you use to do it.......

I use a claw hammer (the type for pulling out nails). It works great.

...if you damage the plastic retainers, ACE hardware sells them for much less than GM gets for them. Look in their bulk fastener section.

BBQ grill fork works great for prying those off...no really it does!
