can you put two different brands or tires on your car . i have mich. on the back .a friend gave me a new set of kumhos for the front its on a 98 coupe i dont race it . anyway will it change the handling in any way.

i had same setup not long ago and it was fine

mich and kumhos rates at 220 tread wear and have simular (rolled) sidewalls.. u will be fine

It's certainly not an ideal situation or recommended and it can cause some handling issues. See below:

Mine has two different brands...cheap sumutomo's on front and firestone wide ovals on the back. Haven't had any issues.

You'll be fine! The most important thing is that you don't have mismatched set on the opposite side of eachother! Different front and backs will be fine and dandy!

I had Goodyear runflats (which the previous owner had just purchased) on the front, and Kumho (non runflat) on the rear. I never had any issues. I don't road race , but I am a VERY spirited driver!!
Now that my wife has her car, I just donated my tires to her, and have gone to Nittos on all four corners.
