Occasional stalling from reverse to drive
I have a '01 coupe A4 with the following mods: Vortex ram air, 3.42s, SY3500, and Powerloader II. A few weeks after the install of the 3.42s, SY, & PL I stared having occasional stalling only when I am backing out of garage or parking space. I back up and when I stop to put in drive, it shudders, RPMs drop to 300-400, then stalls. Happens about 1 out of 10 times. Doesn't seem to matter whether hot or cold. Anyone else have this problem after these mods? Anysuggestions on what to check? Maybe fluids somewhere in the link.
Thanks for any insight. As you can imagine, it is quite embarrassing when it happens in a public place with many watching :(

Mine does the same thing. I have found if I hold the brake for a second after I put it in reverse before I try and back up. Then allow it to come to a complete stop hold the brake and shift into drive while still holding the brake for just a second, let the motor load up in drive then release the brake it won't die. If I just fire it up throw it in reverse the tap the throttle then put it in drive the car will die every time. H/C/I and 4K stall.
