Default O2 simulator

Check engine light is on and it is believed to be an 02 sim. Does it hurt anything by driving it? Its my dd and I don't exactly have access to a jack right now, so it will be awhile till I can change it. Do I need to change both rear sensors/simulators at the same time or should I just change the one that's bringing up the code? Thanks. keb

You should verify codes to make sure it is the o2 sensor downstream of the cats. If it is, you won't hurt anything. In my case, both of my high performance cats had started to "blow" out, and I gutted and put O2 sims in at the same time.

Its code P0161 -Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2-B. Someone here already suggested that it was a bad o2 simulator since I have headers and no cats. The car runs fine, the only difference is the check engine light is on.

I burned up my SIMS in 3 months with the header heat... I have TPIS Headers and Gutted Cats.
After that I purchased LS1Edit and programmed them out...

No harm running with the light on till you get it taken care of..
