CLB question
I bought a used C5. It's 108 drgees outside & don't want to take the dash apart. How can I tell if the CLB is installed without pulling the dash. 6 spd car. Does the column lock when the ignition is off? Mine is free to turn with the ignition off.

If you cannot hear the actuator cycle when you turn the key off, then you have the aftermarket CLB installed. If you still hear the actuator cycle, but the column does not lock, then the lockplate has been removed and you probably have the Harness K kit installed.

Take the knee panel off and look. That would be the only way to tell for sure. That should take 5 minutes, maybe 10 total. Mine looks like this http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...d=220&pcid=156
