Default HELP!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAA across the DIC!!!!

I have been working on getting the nitrous system plumbed in. I had the battery disconnected for a while then reconnected it. When I turn the ignition key and after the DIC goes through the "Chevrolet Corvette" intro, the display then gets all flashing "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" across it! No gauges or anything. Is there a fuse to pull to clear this?? I was messing around the wiring hareness in the foot well area on the passenger side trying to get my nitrous line through the firewall. Is there something there I bumped? I saw this in a thread somewhere in the past. What's the easiest thing to try before seeing if I screwed up any wirung below??

Did you try disconnecting the battery again, waiting a while, and then reconnecting the battery?

oohhh that is a new one to me. Wow. I put my NOS wires and feed line through a hole I drilled in the firewall. The IPC harness runs right through the firewall in that area. If you cut or broke some wires there, that could be messy.
After it shows that "AAAAA.." can you check for codes by pressing the options/fuel??? Does it start?? If so are you getting any reading on the DIC for anything? Any thing on the analog gauges??

oh yeah have you tried hitting hte reset button??

Hmmm I looked in my service manual but could not find any "AAAAA.." that could be displayed on the DIC. Maybe you have a u1255 or u1096 dtc. Did you drill a hole in the firewall?? I put mine about an inch from the IPC harness.

Disconnected the battery for the third time and left it off for a while. Reconnected it. Everything is working now. Third time's a charm! I just about went into panic mode  I never had that before. I ran my nitrous line through the huge rubber grommet that a mass of wires goes through on the firewall. I had to cut a little bit of rubber out to get it through. I was afraid I might have cut into one of the wires while doing that.  Anyway, we're back on track now. I have all my plumbing done....all that's left is the wiring. BTW, I mounted my bottle sideways so that I can get the right angle on the bottle and still be able to put the cover back on without the gauge and valve hitting. So to compensate for that position, I had to readjust the siphon tube in the bottle so that its sucking off the bottom with the tank in that position. The tube pulls out of the bottom of the valve assembly. Its nothing more than a compression fit type connection. Thanks for the info guys! :D

cooollll
Yeah I went to the right of that harness, just to many wires that could break. Three times I guess was the charm!!! hhaha odd. At first it sounded like a wire had been busted off and it would have been a nightmare looking for it....

Hope the rest of the install goes well. Should be easy the rest of the way.
