Vert Top Wind Noise Warning
Just had a new white sailcloth top professionally (?) installed on my white '98 vert.
Be aware of who does the install for you. For some reason I have 100% more wind noise coming from the sides of the new top (like a window is cracked). Taking it to the installer tomorrow to inspect. It looks as though the sides behind the window are not fitting properly.
Also anyone ordering the White Sailcloth top should know that they are sending out a fabric that is much thinner (sngl texture vs Dbl texture). This is supposley because the OE top was prone to cracking (as my original did) from being folded into the stored position.
Ill post what I find out tomorrow.

i have a white 99 Convt & same cracking issues in the folds !!!!
the mutiple layers of thick padding is in exc condition yet--- Dont know where to find a good installer, Tops seem to be around $500.
NO one can tell me what the Install Cost is ??!??? (is it around $500.??)

ALSO WHITE 4 some reason seems to be made of different material than the OTHER COLORS -- Dont know WHY ?!?!?

Black or Oak colors are made from a twillfast fabric matieral.
The white tops (sailcloth) are a vinyl product that you want to be careful when ordering. More and more places are selling a single texture product that allows alot of outside noise in.
The OE Double texture with rubber core however is much more quiet.
Try Ecklers or Mid America Motorworkds.
