Changing the A4 fluid
Time to change the A4 transmission fluid. (25,000 on 1 car and 40,000 on the other. Checked with a dealer and they don't use synthetics. They have two options; a flush which changes all the fluid but not the filter, or a filter change which only changes about half of the fluid.
What's everyone been doing? Do I need a filter change or just the fluid?
Is this a job I can do in my garage?
What fluid is best?
Also, should I change the fluid on the MN-6? At what mileage? What fluid?

Why?
With that mileage? Are you racing?
If not I would not even bother, but if you really want to, get the power flush. A drain and fill only replaces 4 out of the 12 quarts.
