Default Help with C5West C5R headlights

I just purchased these from a forum member and they can't find the instructions for them. Does anyone have a set of these they could scan and e-mail to me. Any help would be appreciated. E-mail is
candapifer2@comcast.net.

If they are like the specter werkes lights, I'll do my best to remember what I did over 2 years ago. I do not have the instructions but get ready for a headache. I prefer beer over aspirin.

0) place your car on a level surface in front of a wall and mark where your headlights are aimed with masking tape. Mark highbeams as well.

1) Make your pop ups in the upright position

2) remove the 3 screws holding the pop-up shroud/cover on each side. Unplug wires.

3) remove the 3 bolts holding the pop-up module to the car. You mave have to turn the wheels for access to the wheelwell. Remove the triangular metal piece in the wheelwell. You can use this time to compare the weight savings.

4) remove turn signal assembly so you can access under the soon-to-be installed headlights from the front of the car. Heads up as there is a spring that used to help attach it.

5) This is very tricky and easier with 2 people. The headlight will be attached with 3 bolts. The first is the original hole ( call it hole A) on the innerside towards the engine (pop-ups used this hole,) a hole on the 1/4 panel/fender and last the hole you will need to drill and tap on the front bumper. You may need to play around but it may help if you bolt the hole A bracket and use it to help guide. Have a friend hold the light in place and you will need to take a marker/whiteout and mark where the light will mount to the front bumper. This is where you will need to drill.

6) Expect about 1/8" of metal to drill before hitting styroform in the bumper. I really wish I remember what size hole to drill but I'm thinking 1/4" (DOUBLE CHECK AND DO NOT DRILL UNTIL YOU ARE 100%.)

7) After drilling the hole, you will need to tap it. I do not remember the size to use (was my first and only time ever using a tap.)

8) Now that all 3 holes are ready (hole A, newly drilled front bumper, and 1/4 panel/fender,) install light (align perfectly) and tighten all 3 holes. You will have to do all this through the front turn signal. You may need to move the front brake ducts for better clearance.

9) After the light is installed, you will now need to remove the light from the 3 brackets (you just bolted on) so you have access to replace the front turn signal assembly removed earlier. Remove the light cover and then the "bucket" assembly from the 3 brackets. I belive with the drivers side you will need to also remove the bulb assemby to access a screw. these screws are the Torx bits so have those handy.

10) Install turnsignal assembly (remember to attach spring)

11) reattach the "Bucket" back to the 3 brackets. Do not put the covers on yet as you will need to align the lights. Plug in lights if you already havent done so.

12) align the lights and highbeams to where you previously marked with tape on the wall/garage door.

13) Install covers and drink more beer because you will probably considering this job a pain in the ***.

I tried to remember this as best I can and I might be a little off on stuff so I apologize if I made more confusion. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DROP ANY SCREWS OR BOLTS BECAUSE IF YOU DO, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO DO ALOT ALL OVER AGAIN. Good luck!

Summary:

Mark where popup beams are on wall. Remove popups. Remove turn signal assembly. Fit where C5R lights will go and mark where to drill. Drill and tap. Bolt the C5R lights to all 3 holes. Remove top half of C5R assembly. Install turnsignal assembly. Install top half assembly. Adjust beams. Install cover.

These appear to be different than the Specter Works. Does anyone have C5West C5R headlights installed in their C5?

Did you try to e-mail or call C5 West and see if they can e-mail some to you? Sorry I could not find them, I got the lights a while ago.
