I just used Seafoam for the first time. I did about 1/3 pint through the brake booster line and one full can (16 oz.) in the gas tank. I got no smoke after adding it to the brake booster....not even a little puff.
What does that mean? Was my engine relatively clean? Everyone talks about a huge smoke cloud. I was sort of disappointed.
HA!!
I just did mine today too. I put the whole can into the hose right behind the throttle body, to make sure it gets to all cylinders. Did the whole can and let it sit for 3 hours. HOLY "SMOKES" batman!!!
I should have taken a picture. You couldnt see my house.
took 2 miles of romping it to clear it out. People probably thought, what a chit biscuit vette. Of course mine is a 2001 oil sucker and it has probably never been done. 50K miles worth of crud. No more pinging at WOT with 110F outside.
I out 1/3 of the can in through the brake booster and waited 10 minutes. I have 72K on the clock. GM top end cleaner done at the dealer at 35K. Maybe mine wasn't too dirty.
Could be.
I had a stick on the pedal at 2000 rpms and sucked it in pretty good. Burried the hose in the can at the end and sucked it all up till it stalled. Im sure the inside of my engine was coated really good. It took 3 times to start and then it took 10 seconds at 1/2 throttle till it would idle. Then commeth the smoke.

Thoughts?
Try adding more than 1/3 of the can....1/2 to 3/4 can, and wait longer till you start up the car again. No rush....wait an hour or longer, and pour in the PVC line when the engine is warmed up.
Did you take it hard all the way up to redline in the first couple of gears? You need to, to get all that crud out. Try again and post your results. Maybe your car is running pretty clean, which is good then. But ths smokeshow is so worth it!

I think it is supposed to smoke, even if your engine is 'clean' -- just burning the stuff off makes the smoke too. I always get smoke, no matter how much, or how little, or how often I use the stuff.. maybe my engine is just

You need to be careful... you can hydrolock you motor if you pour it in too fast
