I have 35,200 miles on the stock EMT's on my 2003 Anniversary Edition Coupe. The tires still look good. I have noticed that the tires have gotten very noisy in the last 5000 miles or so. Need some advice as to what to replace them with or should I go get the same shoes?? Probably won't happen till after the winter.
Look at Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP
are run flat, all season YES SNOW and better riding than the goodyear emts. If no Snow get goodyear Eagle f1 GS D3 .
Slightly better performing in non snow conditions but not run flat.
there are many choices.
the biggest issue is run flat or not.
The GY runflat is noisy due to its very stiff sidewall but lets you drive the longest in a no air event and is repairable. ( 200 miles)
Other runflats ( Michelin, Kumho, Yokahama) are quieter, but are only rated for 50 miles of no air event.
The Firestones are not repairable after such an event.
For regular tires GoodYear GS-D3s and Michelin PS2's top the charts in peformance and price...
There are many fans of Kumho MX, BFG KD's, Yokahama Ventus, Toyo Proxies, Cooper is getting more press.
the list goes on...
In Runflat, I prefer the Firestone Firehawk and in non-runflat the GY GS-D3
I had the same problem with GY tires I went to Firestone much less noise. I am now on my second set of the Firestone SZ50 RFT and would buy again. I did try to buy Michelin's from a supporter of this site, but they only had 2 front no rear and I would have had to wait 2 to 4 weeks for tires. vettdvr
