Headlights shaking like crazy
My 2001 C-5 M-6 with Real HID headlights. After installing the Bilstein Sport shocks, a slightly rough road makes the headlights look more like strobe lights. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have Z-51 and the glass T-84 euro lights in mine that probably makes it worse but YUP, these C5 lights are the worst. I don't know how they got away with such a flimsy but important design. I had one complete unit replaced under warantee but the new one was almost as bad. The only thing I have found that helps is to make sure that when the light is up it is firmly contacing the little white stop. I forget, but I think you can bend it slightly or adjust the mounting screws to get it to "jam" harder into the stop. Shaft end-play in the motor itself is also a real problem, I think my motor is actually coming apart too. Oh, and they made a cost-reduction sometime after 1999 that made it even worse. The gearcase was metal and screwed together in my original 1999 unit but the replaced one is plastic glued together junk. Made it much harder to replace the stripped plastic gear inside.. junk junk junk. Thank goodness they fixed it on the C6 at least!
