Default G TECH Numbers

Gentleman,
Can anyone help me out....I went to use my G TECH in the quarter mile,
when I shifted into 4th the clutch pedal went to the floor I back off on the throttle. I am looking for an estimate to my quarter mile times. The pedal came back however I want to check out the slave cylinder and clutch before I do any hard runs.

0-60 feet 2.40
0-60 MPH 4.65
1/8 mile 8.55@94.20
0-90 MPH 8.05

The 60' time is very slow. The 1/8 mile MPH seems too high for the time. I would guess 12.9 - 13.0 as a SWAG given the data, although it does seem inconsistent.

I've got a G-Tech Pro and it seems like with a 2.4 60ft times your 1/8 mile times should be in the 8.7-8.9. Maybe the road surface was not very flat(going uphill). Best thing I did was take the G-Tech to the track and see if my numbers compared to the time slips. There are adjustments you can make to the G-Tech to "tune" it in to get more accurate readings. I noticed a .03 difference from the G-Tech to my time slips after a couple of tuning sessions at the track. Fairly close and good enough for me. Just make sure that the road you are trying to run it on is very flat.

Chanderson,
Thanks for the inputs, remember my clutch pedal went to the floor as I shifted into forth so I backed out of the throttle. I flushed the clutch master cylinder reservoir and will make another 1/4 mile run. My car has Z/06 shocks (04) and springs what setting are you running for stiffness I am using (1.8). I read the manual I want to make sure I have the meter set up right.
In additon what is your 1/8 mile times on your car. My HP figures are way off on the G TECH settings, any idea's?
I think I got the clutch hot on the launch
My 1/8 mile times were 8.55 @ 94.20
0-90 8.05

BTW your car looks Sweeet!

I have a basically stock c5 except for Vararam CAI, SLP maf,Bassani X-pipe and Borla straight pipes without any tune. I only have an 1/8 mi track near my house and the best time I ran was 8.509 1/8 mi with 1.9 60 foot times on BFG KDWs. I fooled around with settings on the G-Tech until it matched my time slips. Although I have found slight variations (.03) difference compared to my time slips, I think that is as close as I can get to exact times. I have the G-Tech Pro and in the owners manual it shows you how to adjust for the slight differences in times. Now every run I make I check my G-Tech with time slips and they are very close and it is dead-on with the 60 foot times.

Best way to get the horsepower is to take your car to a weight station such as a track or some places will allow you to weight your car at a truck weight in station. That is the best way to get the most accurate HP readings from your meter. The G-Tech calculates the times plus the weight you entered for your car to get the horsepower number so if the weight you entered is incorrect then your horsepower number will also be incorrect.
