Recommendations wanted...Magnaflow or Corsa
I've had a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust (i.e. includes x-pipe) for the past few years on my 00, but a weld on one of my hangers broke and a weld on one of my mufflers also broke. Took it to my exhaust guy and they're going to be replaced under warranty. Okay, enough of the set up...I have the option of either going with a replacement Magnaflow system or going with a Corsa Pace Car with Pro Series tips (includes x-pipe). However, I'll have to ante up about $400 for the Corsa.
Now, my question, is it worth the extra bucks to go Corsa as I have no quams going back to Magnaflow. Just wondering what the difference in sound was as they both probably have the similar hp/tq numbers. Is the Corsa actually $400 more to buy? Anyone know of any links where I can listen to both systems?

The Pace cars should be considerably louder, and higher pitched. Are you talking $400 total for the Corsa, or $400 more than fixing your Magnaflows, or $400 more than a NEW Magnaflow? If the first one, it's a great buy. If the second, still. If the third, OMG!

Check corsa's site for sound and info. The magnaflows sound pretty good, but most people agree that the corsas will have a more aggressive and original sound. I get comments constantly on mine. People ask about them because they just don't have that "typical rumble." They sound more in control and maybe even a little exotic. They are also the best choice if you hate resonance. Their build quality is better than most too. Probably worth the extra cost though I'm not sure of your situation.

I had the Magnaflow on my 98, I liked it a lot, especially the finish, but it did drone. I now have a Corsa Indy Pro on the 03 with a magnaflow X-pipe to help the decel "popping". The Corsa sounds outstanding and zero drone! In your position I'd go for the Corsa

An overwhelming response on the Corsa's let's tally, Corsa = all votes, Magnaflows = nada, none, zero! Wow.
The situation is that it will cost be an EXTRA $400 to replace my broken Magnaflow (which would be replaced under warranty for nothing) with the Corsas. From what I've seen the Magnaflows are more expensive, so I'll have a bit of a chat with my guy at the exhaust shop on why I should pay anymore (probably he'll say something about the MF's being replaced at cost as its a warranty claim vs. the Corsas, a different manufacturer, so their margin still applies). I do live in Canada, so maybe the pricing up here is different. I'll see what happens. I did have a good look at the Corsas, and they are built/finished MUCH better than the Magnaflows. I'm thinking I'll go with the Corsas even with the premium, just to change it up for the next little while.
One thing I do have to say about Magnaflow, is that they have stood behind their product. This is my second system on my car and both have have been replaced under their warranty, no questions asked. So if anyone is considering a product from them, they have my seal of approval (if that matters).
