Default Maximum Rim Sizes For C5???

Hello, I found an awesome deal for some Z06 rims. The sale is on rims that are 17 x 9.5 for the fronts and 18 x 9.5 / 18 x 10.5 for the rears.

Is it possible to put the 18 x 9.5 or the 18.10.5 all the way around without causing rubbing problems? That would allow me to rotate the tires.

Would there be a problem with the sensors and the rotation?

Pro's and Cons on this idea? Thanks Al

As good as it sounds I wouldn't do it. The AH might be ok with the same size tires front and back, but it wont look right. I have 18x9.5" in the front and 18x10.5" in the back. IMHO the 18x10.5" with a stock offset is a little too wide for the front. By the way I'm running 275/35 tires in the front and 295/35 in the back.

With the same size tire front and rear, you have a pretty good chance of the ABS/TC/AH computer putting you in reduced power mode, as it is looking for a bigger tire (slower rotation at given MPH) on the rear, and will read equal tire speeds as a continuing malfunction of the system.

Thanks for the feedback.... okay screw rotating tires. I don't want any troubles!!!

So from what I've read I should have no problems with the clearances.

How much offset do you experience with the 9.5 width? I'd like the rims not to protrude out of the wheel well.

Thanks in advance!! Al

The wheels that I'm using have a 57mm offset and they don't really stick out. Stock Z06 17x9.5" wheels have a 54mm offset so anything in the 54-57mm range should work just fine for the front and rear.

Fitment of Z06 wheels will work lots of people have done it.

You will have 9mm less clearance on the inside and it will extend 17 mm further out towards the fender in the front.

In the rear you will have 6mm less clearance on the inside and it will extend 20 mm further out towards the fender.

You notice both add up to 26 mm which equals one inch. The additional width of the Z06 wheels.
