I have a lowerd 2000 coupe that has developed a significant groan coming from the drivers side front. It happens under both compression and extension of the left front suspension. Local front end shop lubed everthing thing they could find to no avail. The car has about 45K on it and I did not do the lowering. Any ideas?
Did you check all of the hardware to verify that it was torqued to specifications ?
Earlier vette's had plastic end pieces on sway bars, maybe yours are flexing. Also did you take of sway bar brackets and lube the bushings ?
Next I would check spring condition for splintering, if it looks okay you might want to check the adjusters at both ends of the spring for wear.
This is my first post so I hope I'm doing this right. I'm sure it could be any or all of these things. I think the first step will be to get the wheel off, car on jack stands and flex the left front with a floor jack, carefully. I was hoping someone had gone thru this before and could give me some specific direction. Thanks for the input, I will check all of these items.

Sorry, didn't know your experience level. Make sure use a block of wood between jack and spring, as they are plastic and can be broken.
The springs are very stiff and when you put a jack under them to lift them up, it will actually lift your vette up off of jack stands on that side.
Also be careful jacking up car. There is four places (two on each side) that have cut-outs for where to place jack.
You'll also need jack pucks so that you don't crack you fender or rocker panel. Do a little research before you attempt to do this job.
Especially jacking up the vehicle.
