Hardened shaft from tranny to diff
does anyone make the hardened shaft that goes from the tranny into the rear diff? Is this considered an input shaft? I know the output shafts are the shafts from the diff to the wheels. Who makes the shaft from tranny to the diff hardened and how much? That shaft just let go on my buddies car and took the tranny and diff out of the car.

RPM transmission a forum vendor has the hardened shafts. I have heard that the shaft is not the problem, the problem is the weak link of the differential case to transmission joint flexing or cracking taking out everything. Supposedly a DTE brace will strengthen this joint and the hardened tranny shaft is not necessary. Those with experience can hopefully chime in.
RPM has them, but he will only sell them with a complete tranny. Seems they are hard to come buy...
