Lately my cruise control has been disengaging as I drive at freeway speeds (65-70). Just yesterday, I noticed that when it would happen, the DIC would indicate that my active handling was engaged. Since then, I have notice the DIC indicating the active handling was engaged at various times
Has anyone encountered this? Is there a "fix" besides driving with the A/H off?
There may be a problem in the AH system that mimics a normal operating condition that is activating the AH system. For example, on my 2003 Tahoe it was caused by rust deposits under the wheel speed sensor flanges which caused them to misread the wheel speed. Your Corvette will not have the same issue since it doesn't have the same style sensors but something else in the system could cause the same type of reaction. The diagnostics look for things that are out of normal operating conditions and a problem like yours could be hard to find but I would look for loose connections and and corroded ground points first.

I don't know if it's the same issue, but my cruise control kept disengaging or not engaging at all. I pulled out the clutch pedal switch which causes the disengagement and pulled it apart cleaned the contacts and put it back in.....No more problems!
Has anything else changed or been changed recently? We may need more information before we can help!
Sorry, I was away from computer access for a few days.
TO answer. All I have done to the car is install a K&N FIPK. No other changes have been made. I bought the cat new (2004 coupe) w/ MN6 it even has the original battery (40,000 miles, so that may be going?). I haven't checked the grounds yet, but the active handling engaged again today, so it is still a problem.
I'll check and clean the grounds and see if that helps, but any other suggestions would be appreciated.
