You guys are great!!! I checked the ground connectors, cleaned them, and put them back together. My fans started working just fine. No more overheating. After cleaning out the fins the temp actually dropped down a few degrees from normal.
everybody has a good answer. every year you have to take out the radiator especially if you drive over stuff like paper bags, paper plates, plastic bags, leaves, etc. my old vette blew the fan fuse after it sucked up part of a plastic bag. normal temps where i live is about 100 degrees over ambient temp. when its 100, it reads 200 etc.
the Over heating issue described above is the exact same issue I am having with my 1997 today. in some of my research, I was told that there may be a grounding issue. A few Article mentioned Bills Sticky guide. I am trying to locate this guide as I have no idea where to find the these grounds to clean them. Lookinf for some one to point me in the right direction please!. Basically my 1997 over heats as the fans do not come on. I have replaced Coolinf temp sensor, and well as thermostat, and relays. I can jump the connections and the fans come on. help please! Andre'
