Default Read CLB Posts - Need Advice

I have a 2003 MN6 and I just purchase the CLB from COH. I plan to install tomorrow morning. Not experiencing any CLB issues but feel installing the CLB is the smart thing to do. In reading the many posts here on the CF, I have a question I need answered.

In 9/04 I had the dealer perform recall 04006 to reprogram PCM. Will this recall prevent me from using the CLB I just purchased? Do I need to go back to the dealer and have them uninstall this recall before I attempt to install the CLB kit?

Sorry for yet another CLB question, but I need some clarity on this issue. Thanks for your advice.

I don't have a definitive answer, but i'd say no to the dealer question. after you install the clb, just pull out the key. If the wheel locks, it didn't work, if it does not lock, it did work.

No, you can install your CLB without any recall reversal. The 4006B recall, which would have been the one you had performed, checked the pin clearance in the actuator and re-programmed the PCM to be sure the fuel shut off at 2 mph if the steering wheel locked. This is the same recall the previous owner had done to his car before I bought his 2002 Z06. I also installed the COH CLB with no problems identified.

Mine had the 1st recall done (unwillingly of course) and I installed the CLB. No issues!

Uhhh... When you install the CLB, you disconnect the column lock actuator.... so how would it lock after the install?

I think you mean "if after the install you get the fuel cutoff condition, then it didn't work".

Just wanted to clarify since there's a lot of confusion on this issue.
