Default Question on Installation of CD Changer

I just got my installation kit for my CD Changer, they use an Epoxy from GM to hold brkt in place, I called a couple of chevy dealers and it will be about a week to get is there any other epoxy that I can get that is readly available, also how hard is it to remove panels to run wire towards the front, are most of them held in by snap clips or is there something I should watch out for thanks John B.

you can use any epoxy, I used JB weld.
the bracket is also riveted to the back wall of the center storage compartment.

the panels pull off, just be careful while pulling them off.

I used a quick setting epoxy from Lowe's when I did mine. It set up in about 20 min, and I let it dry overnight. It's been holding for 4 years.

Hi

Run the wire down the passenger side and through the speaker and then down to the sill. What would really help is to use some kind of snake and then when you find a channel attach the wire and pull it through.

Alan

There is a thread here someplace it might be in the audio section that walks you through it. Also when you pry the panels use a rubber (stiff) or plastic putty type knife so that you don't damage anything.

Is this what you were referring to? It's in the member reviews section and has 3 write-ups (including mine) on installing the changer.
