Why? Have you seen this before? What were the cirucumstances?
Thanks in advance.
I had the same problem with the car overheating almost instantly. Your car won't overheat that quickly, especially if you're stock or close to. In my case, my electric waterpump was run incorrectly (by me). You've either got a large air bubble in your cooling system thus creating steam , in which case you can try "burping" the system, or your waterpump isn't working. It's not the thermostat or the radiator. Try burping the system and check to make sure your waterpump is working. My guess is that your problem is in one of those areas. Hope this helps.
Problem solved...here's the story.....I pulled the radiator to have it checked...all was good.....the only step left was to do a block test which would tell me if I had a blown head......so I replaced the radiator...filled with coolant and burped the system and she overheated again Let everything cool down and decided to run it again with the cap off to see if it would overheat with an unpressurized system.....it didn't overheat at idle so I put the cap back on to pressurize the sys expecting an overheat and the car ran fine and has been fine ever since??? My conclusion:the sys originally got air in it 'somehow' starting this whole fiasco which was eventually eliminated when I burped the sys for the 10th time after I reinstalled the radiator....so JonJon you were right on...I'm just happy as hell I can drive the beast again...was starting to get a little cranky!! To all who chimed in with words of wisdom I can't thankyou enough!
