Default Shaving Stock LS6 Heads

Has anyone "shaved" their stock LS6 heads? If so how much? What were the results?

Do these heads need to be "ported and polished"? Or are they adequate as delivered from the factory.

Mine are milled about .055" - raises compression to ~ 11.4:1

Porting increases flow substantially.

Here is a link to some general ported and stock head flow. This is J-Rods link and I'm not sure if it's been updated in the past 2 years??
But, it's strill a valuable comparison.

Great link! Interesting to note that once you bolt that LS6 intake on, the ported LS1 heads flow almost as good as the LS6 ported (within 1%).
