Where are you ordering it from, check summitracing.com and put in
BOR-14778, see what the price is. Also post to anyone that has recently ordered from summit because sometimes they put a 10% coupon in their orders. That could mean substantial savings. Good Luck.
The resonator is just a chambered muffler that is part of the XR1 kit. It gets located under the drive tube about the loacation of the drivers butt (replaces the stock cross over "H"). On the XR1 system, it allows you to toss the rear mufflers. Clark
Thanks, Clark.
Does the XR1 kit (#14778) include the Resonator (#40016) already?
I am going to order one soon, but the shop I spoke to is not familiar with Corvette parts (partly because there are not a lot of C5s in Vancouver, compared to even, say, Seattle). Thanks! Danny
Danny, Yes the resonator is included in the kit.
The Corvetteforum Mall has a good deal on the kit $700
FYI, I found out the part number for the resonator is 60061 :yesnod:
Also, I have a Borla parts list/drawing for 60061 if you are interested in
a copy of it, email me at clark.kalens@eds.com
Clark! Hope things are good with you. Looks like you are going to take the XR-1 plunge... if you need any help installing them, let me know. I warn you though, I am severely lacking in the auto mechanic area! Take care!

Yes they do. Mine are on order. Unfortunately, they have BEEN on order for 2 weeks now. Apparently, the hold up is at BORLA not at C5Performance. Steve has assured me that they will ship as soon as he receives them. When that might be, I have no idea. Still, at that price I suppose the wait is worth it.:chevy
I can't wait to hear the way my C5 sounds with that bad boy bolted up!
