Default Auto Tone Feature

I have noticed my memory presets will keep my auto tone for my CD but not for AM or FM on my 03 Z06. It is getting to be a pain having to set this feature each time I start my car. Is there a way to correct this?

Something must be broke, woks fine with mine. Set the station and the auto tone, then hold down the preset number button untill it is saved.

Well everytime I start my car the auto tone does not come on. Maybe I need to check it again or reset the memory option.

Yea, what you have to do is tune the station you want for a preset, set the auto tone, THEN hold down the selected preset button until it stores into memory. I was having the same problem but figured it out.

I know "how" to do it and thought I did it correctly. I have to try it again though.

I forgot to add that once you have everything set (with car running) press and hold the memory button until it flashes.

I "thought" I did everything correctly and also "thought" my system was malfunctioning as well.

I finally got around to redoing my memory settings and the tone settings still won't stay when I set the seat memory settings.

I did however, realize I can set the auto tones to be held in memory with my preset stations. I guess for some reason I figured when I pressed my memory seat (1 or 2), that the auto tone feature would come up to the station I last listened to. My owners manual page 2-55 states it should hold "the climate control temperature, fan speed and mode settings, redio presets, tone, volume, playback mode (AM/FM, tape or CD), tape direction and compact disc position." Note it does say "tone", I take that to mean the auto tone.

Yes, that is how it works, you have to set it and save it like a preset, so you can save a different auto tone for each station. Driver 2 can set their own presets and auto tone preferences and it will save with the memory setting. If you mess with the manual treb and base it overrides the auto tone.

Not sure why I thought the memory seat settings would save my auto tones or radio stations. Now I understand it is just the preset stations and the auto tone is saved in those presets, not the memory seats. Thanks for all your help!
