Check Engine Light & Low Coolant Warning???
How do I check for codes? After changing my intake (LS1 to LS6) and coolant bypass lines, I started seeing the Low Coolant warning once in a while. The coolant reservoir level is where it should be. This morning the Check Engine light came on and the Low Coolant warning came on again on my drive home from work.
I topped off the coolant let the engine cool and topped off the coolant just in case. The Check Engine light remains on. How do I check for codes?
The low coolant light could be something as simple as a faulty tank sensor or a problem with the wiring connector to the sensor. The Check Engine light will definitely be the result of a problem that you will have a code stored for. Post the code and we should be able to point you in the right direction. If this is the result of some recent intake work it's very possible it's also a loose wire/connector issue. The Intake Air Temp sensor is notorious for this issue.

Thanks, I ran the codes last night and it didn't show anything as current only history. Recently, my battery ran down twice while I was working on my interior for the past couple of weeks. I did have a code that indicated showing "Lost Communication With" LDCM, SCM, and RDCM but nothing having to do with the coolant though.
Is there a way I can check specifically why the Check Engine light was activated or should I just have it cleared?
