O.K. guys. I've been getting this code since day one but just never looked into what's causing it. P1571H sets all the time even after clearing it out. From the books I know it is a PCM history code "ASR Desired Torque-C". Apparently having something to do with the ASR, huh?? I don't experience any problems with anything while driving the car (hence the reason I never have done anything about it). Its just now beginning to annoy me! No "service vehicle soon" messages or anything. Just when I go to check codes, its always there. The ASR seems to be working fine although during the cold winter days, I always get a combination of ASR and ABS symptoms. I'll figure that one someday too. But for now, what should I be looking at on this code?? Thanks ahead of time guys.
Your "problem" is your right foot and Active Handling/Torque Management. Any time you step onit and break loose your rear tires and the "Active Handling" message comes on this code will be set. Basically, you got more torque than the PCM really wanted and Active Handling comes on to cut back power.
No issue, it is always history, just don't get on it so much or so hard!
Is that why by back runcraps are wearing prematurely you think? :blueangel: No, seriously, I can recall many times where have have reset the codes and drove the car normal (without spinning the back tires) and then check the codes again and that same code would show up. I'm not worried about it, since I've been driving it like that for a couple of years now. Just makes me curious as to what causes it.
