Diff between LS1 and LS6
What are the main differences between the LS1/LS6?
Intake manifold, heads and cam?
Are there other difference in the block that make a significant change in the performance?

Which LS6 ... the 385 HP in the 2001 or the 405 HP in the 2002 and later?
The 385 HP has different cam, valve springs, heads, and intake manifold. Someone with a 405 can better answer for their engines.

01 LS6 was the first 243 heads, also used on the LS2 with solid ex valves while the 02-04 have sodium. The springs are good for higher lift on both LS6 then the LS1 and all LS1 after 2000 (2001+) have the LS6 intake. There are changes in the block too and there is a good write up on it somewhere, o yea, hot rod magazene few back... Good luck!

My understanding in the difference of the LS1 and LS6 with those mentioned already is the LS1 has weaker rod bolts. I have an LS1 with the 2002 LS6 heads , cam and intake along with other MODS
My signature shows my RWHP/RWTQ with these bolt ons.
