Default Engine Fuse Box Help

I have a 98 cp.

In the manual it list Fuse 1 as ABS TRANS. On the fuse box lid it says RRFOGLP. Which is right? The slot is for a standard mini fuse. Does anyone know what either one is for, and which one is right? Are they the same thing????????

I'm confused!!

The fuse is missing, any reason the previous owner would want it disabled??

Thanks Jason

I could be way off base here, and right now I'm too lazy to look, but aren't there two fuse boxes in the car. are you sure the cover your'e looking at is the same one in the manusl. In my car there is one fuse box in the engine compartment and one in the passeanger side footwell.

Yes,there are two boxes but I am looking at the right one. Everything else in panel lines up with manual. I just don't know what either description stands for and why the fuse was removed.

According to the 2000 service manual, Fuse 1 in the underhood fuse block is only used for Export corvettes for the rear foglamps. That's also what it says in the 2000 owners manual. The ABSTRNS fuse is #5, which is used for the EBTCM and electronic suspension control modules.

Maybe the 98 owners manual had a typo.

For the abrevation (sp??) RRFOGLP that would make sense.

I'll check again but on my diagram and manual fuse 5 is blank and there is no fuse in it.

Thanks for the info. I might have to check with the dealership manual to get a true answer.

O.K the manual says fuse 5 should be blank but diagram lists as ABSTRANS and it has a fuse.

I must have a manual that has some errors on it. Thanks for help.
