Re: McCloud Dual Disk Clutch Experience (Skeeter1)
It took 5 weeks to get my clutch assembly and took another 5 weeks to get my Adjustable Master. Once I got it all together It works great! Grabs much better than the single disk ever did. I had the OEM unit and another Single Disk McLeod before. You will have to get the entire setup to make it work
Re: McCloud Dual Disk Clutch Experience (Skeeter1)
Well... Short story, works great! Long story, TOO LONG!!! Just make sure you have the Zo6 slave, and the adustable master without the restriction in the line or the clutch may hang up on high RPM shifts. Mcloed may or may not have taken care of the restricter by now,but keith at corvette connections,941-274-6840, can help you with an AP adustable Master and a restricterless line. I got mine from him awhile ago and did'nt find out about the restrictor in the Banjo bolt right away. I have since had that drilled out and now have a very functional duel disk.

Re: McCloud Dual Disk Clutch Experience (vetterdstr)
I worked with the Mcleod products from mid 99 to early 01 and never had a working reliable combo that could hold any power. The singles would give out around the 415RWHP level and the twin disc never worked despite countless hours of labor and using various mcleod masters that all failed. Also Mcleod would not answer there phone 99% of the time when I tried to call them - just the service you would expect for over 1200 dollar clutches that don't work.
I have not tried the Cartek clutch, but the best clutch for me so far has been the Star Stage 3 with a ceramic disc using new stock hydraulics. This is what I'll probably install when I put the 422 in the C5, but I've also heard really good things about the Cartek clutch.
Re: McCloud Dual Disk Clutch Experience (Godspeed)
Cartek Clutch=Awesome (Schweeeet for you younger guys!) Just be sure to go with a new slave and adjustable master and do a careful install including facing the flywheel. But you all knew that anyway............. :D :D :D
Re: McCloud Dual Disk Clutch Experience (Skeeter1)
I didn't vote because my experience is with the single disc.
However, Jason at http://www.moreperformanceinc.com has the dual disc in his Vette with the 427 and in his F-body with about 700 RWHP. He uses the same master as I do (the AP Racing adj master). Mcleod, AP adj. master, Goodridge braided line (to eliminate the restriction), Z06 slave...this is a great combination. This kid dumps the power to it. Don't wate your time w/ the Mcleod master. It is not worth looking at.
