I have a 01 coupe, and i thought they looked a little cloudy, so I tried polishing them. all I got was a reduced thickness clear coat (I did not go through) and at the car show we have here , on corvette night, I looked at as many cars like mine I could find,
guess what? more cloudy looking wheels (factory)
BUT!!
I did notice all the aftermarket wheels polished or chrome were not cloudy
