I just lubed the sway bar bushings in the hopes that I could eliminate the front end noise when manuevering hard left. For lack of a better description, there is a "creak" when turning hard left and hitting the brake sometimes results in additional creaking. I don't notice this at speeds above 5 mph at all. Everything looks tight...car has 25,000 miles on it and it just started doing this in the last 1,000 miles.
It feels like something's loose...maybe bad ball joint??? Unusual at this low mileage, though.
Anyone had a similar issue? Do I need to recheck the end links....I did not put a wrench on them....
Just got back from trip to dealer. We checked the front end on the car and nothing was loose. After about 45 minutes of moving the steering from center to hard left, determined that it seems to be the coupling (looks like a u-joint) on end of the steering shaft seems to be binding slightly resulting in a "creak".....
Does anyone know more about this issue? I'm scheduled back at the end of October.
