Gas Gauge relay ??????

At 3/4 tank and less the guage keeps fallin to empty even thou the tank is really at 3/4 tank.....it is like a short is happening at relay....has anyone dealt with this or replaced a sending unit before in a 1997 C5????

Very common problem on the C5. Gasoline contains a certain amount of sulfur which can foul the fuel level sensor causing this problem. Try adding some Chevron Techron to several tanks of gas and see if this helps. Also, you may want to try using a different brand of gasoline or try a different service station.
