M6 shifting tips
Tomorrow will be my first day at the drags with the C5... and with a manual transmission. Any tips on how to shift most efficiently? I always worry about jerking the shift lever. How much force can that thing take anyway? To really shift fast you have to ram the shifter pretty hard otherwise is pauses in the center.
Any tips?

Don't expect to be perfect the first time. Make sure you get the 2-3 shift right...don't want any damage on your first trip to the drags. Try to hold your RPMS up during the shift....like half throddle. Take the 1-2 shift easy on the gas..you don't want alot of spining slowing down your times. Try for only minimal spin on the lauch to.

In the 2nd to 3rd shift NO NOT TRY TO FIND 3rd.
This is the biggest cause of blown 2nd to 3rd shifts :(
Just jam it straight up as fast as you can push! It finds 3rd gear by it's self.
No side motion!
Treat it like you were going from 3rd to 4th (nobody Ever Blew that one) If you did then you don't deserve to drive! :D
