Default 125k Miles!

I have a 99 coupe auto. with 125k miles on it now. Should I A: thinking about trading for a WS6 with half the mileage, or B: Keep it. If i keep it, what are some things i should look for, or be concerned about with 125k miles. It just seems like all the little thing are starting to go wrong with it. When i bought it, i changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, got the tranny serviced, changed the battery, changed the alt., and i plan on getting the radiator flushed and getting the fuel filter changed.

I agree. You should get a whole lot more driving out of this with just basic maintenance. One of my friends is a GM engineer and despite some of the small problems on the C5's he says these were built to go for a long long time.

Keep it. When the original motor goes you have a good excuse to make more power with the next one.

And what's THAT supposed to mean! I know it's not a vette but the T/A WS6 is a nice car still. But hey, I'm a T/A fanatic.

125K?

Build that SOB up! Heads, cam, new srings, valves, then its the car with 125k, not the motor!

My two cents...

Thanks for all of your inputs, i agree with you masksqueeze, but i dont want to start replacing trannys or suspension and other things. I guess what im trying to say is that i dont want it to be a money pit. I drive my car hard (why not is a corvette) i just didnt know when things cars start falling apart.

A vette will always be a vette and it doesn't matter how many miles you got on it. Keep it and maintain it and the car will serve you right.

Default Keep It

The mileage is just a number! My daily driver 85 Monte Carlo has 290K on the clock and still runs great. I'm sure 125K on a C5 is just a good break in! Keep it!!

Keep it.

Look up stangkiller, his has a 140K and he has blown it, has an alkie kit on it and a nice cam and that thing runs. I rode in it before the SC and alkie kit and for a cam car that thing pulled!

As long as you keep it maintained the car will continue to run fine.
