02 z06 cd changer cable?

02 z06 cd changer cable?
1st, Do all z06 have a cd chager cables? If so where is the cable located so that I can add a ipod? I have heard that it is in the back trunk and in the front footrest area by the computer. Any info will help. Thanks

You will have to buy a "COR-HAR" changer harness, unless your Z came with a changer from the factory. The changer harness runs <Stock> from passenger floor board to rear tub. When you purchase the harness, you find what it plugs into in the passenger floor board (They all are pre-wired this far). You should find two plugs that aren't used. You will also have to buy a GM-AUX10 adapter that the changer harness plugs into and that gives you RCA inputs, then will have to purchase a headphone adapter to rca to plug into the Ipod. HTH

I believe I paid right around $80 for mine, every now and then one pops up in the C5 parts for sale section for a bit less. There's one for a buy it now on a "certain" auction site for $66.95 plus shipping.

Since my Z doesn't have the CD changer cable from the factory, I just bought an ipod2car peripheral along with the GMH20T cable and GM1 cable. This way, everything is inside the stereo console; nothing behind the passenger footwell nor in the trunk.
