After I cleaned out the four wiper motor 'utters' due to random wiper movement at any unknown time. So I put back everything together as it was before but this time a new quirk has arisen. Now the wipers only work in hyper-speed & nothing else & will not go into its 'parked' position I have a manual that is one of those preproduction kind & really has a LOT of missing or misprinted info. I think the solution to this problem was the wiper motor cover; can anyone concur with this solution or where to start next?
you dont say there was water in there. i,ll assume there was, you can wait for it to dry out or remove the wiper assembly then the mod. and dry it out. denatured alco. or hair dryer. DO NOT remove torx bolt holding arm to motor if you index it wrong the wipers will try to wipe youre hood
The motor is as dry as it will fly; it is garaged & rarely sees daylight. Maybe the darkness has something to do with it, but I did buy a wiper motor awhile back but I really want to avoid replacing if the timing has to be readjusted; do not want to hassle with that.
not clear here. was there any thing clogging the utters? you can r+r the wiper assembly without removing the arm. then remove module and dry out . to test if its the switch unplug elect. connector by steering column if wipers stop its switch if not module may have water in it

Removed the wiper assembly from the vehicle and inspected it; seems like everything's OK. What I did was spray the wiper stalk with contact spray but thinking of replacing the wiper motor. Do I just remove the torx screw and replace with new motor without moving anything else? Do NOT want to re-adjust the #$%&! timing if I could help it. OR should I put everything back as it was & cross my fingers?
What wound up doing was removing wiper motor cover (circuit board) from replacement part & putting it on the original motor & reinstalled everything back.
Even though had to mess with the wiper blade timing for an extra hour (somehow the wipers were going in all directions) it was worth the trouble because now they work perfectly and return to their 'home' set position. What I did was set the passenger's wiper first & made sure it went back to its home position; then left the switch on & the other wiper mount stud reset itself to its proper position, then put back on the driver wiper arm (took an hour to figure that out).
My cover is definetly shot. Wipers will not park. I have the manual and it is telling me to remove the arms. I know it says to mark the position using masking tape. Whats the odds that I get this back on the right way. Please help with an easier way to change this cover on the module.
