What/how do you know when your TC is dying or has died? During my road trip tonight, I had the cruise control at 75mph and everything was fine. Abou t40 miles into the trip, the rpms slowly started climbing and I finally had to disengage the cruise control. When I did this, the rpms dropped (of course) and when I gave it gas the car did not react to this with one exception, the rpms climbed and until the car slowed down, I could drive it to a safe place to stop. I can drive the car at lower speeds, but I have yet to attempt anything higher. The car shifts fine (at least it seems too) and has showed no signs of slipping. My car only has 43700 miles on the odometer.

It is stock and the temps were fine until it happened. No codes. After talking to RPM, and my local VETTE emchanic, it turns out to be the tranny. I have a new one and TC on the way.
