My favorite mechanic moved to Tenn. and now I have nobody that I trust work on my vehicle. My '99 is due for it's second oil change since I've owned it and rather than bring it to somebody I don't know, I've decided to do it myself. Purchased Rino ramps and already own a floor jack and four stands. Learned enough from this forum to feel good about proper lifting technique ect. I'm using Mobil 1 10w-40, I think good for south Florida. And a Mobil one oil filter (don't know about the quality of this filter). OK so here's my question. Are there lubrication points on the chassis that I need to grease? How do I reset the oil life warning after I change the oil? Sorry for being long. Advice and comments on the oil and filter will be much appreciated.

Turn the ignition on, but make sure the engine is off.
Press the "Trip" button on the DIC so that it displays "OIL LIFE" percentage.
Press and hold the "Reset" button for two seconds. "OIL LIFE REMAIN 100%" should appear on the display.
Make sure the car is somewhat level if possible. The drain plug is actually towards the front of the oil pan, so when you drive up onto the ramps, you'll miss some of the oil. I actually point my car down a slight slope and then drive it up the ramps (very slight slope!).
I'm pretty sure there are no fittings to worry about...at least I've never seen any.

Mine just read "OIL LIFE REMAINING _ _ _%" Didn't read 100%!
Even though it's Florida, you should still stick with a 30 weight oil rather than 40 since that's what's recommended for our engines, i.e. 10W-30 should be fine.
