Default New mods added - Computer reset?

Hello everyone! I just installed the vortex rammer air box last night and tomorrow will be the column lock bypass. I will also be installing cat back exhaust shortly. My question is: For these mods (or any others) is it necessary to reset/change/do something to the stock computer system?

Thanks in advance for responses!!!!!

Congrats on the mods!

I don't see any reason to reset the computer.................The computer will re-learn your new mods..........I just let the computer adjust after putting on some miles, and it runs Strong!

You should execute the idle learn procedure any time you modify your intake, so that your computer can relearn the minimum throttle angle. It is true that it will relearn it over time, but it's better to do it from the beginning.

LS1 Idle Learn Prcedure (from How to Understand, Service and Modify Corvette Fuel Injection and Electronic Engine Management by the late Charles O. Probst)

Here's how you help the computer relearn the minum throttle angle:

(First, disconnect the battery)

Automatic Transmission LS1

1. Turn the key off, reconnect the battery, turn the AC control off, set the parking brake, and block the drive wheels.

2. Start the engine, shift to drive, let the engine idle for five minutes.

3. Turn the AC control on (make sure the AC button light is on). Idle for another five minutes.

4. Leave AC on, shift into park, and idle for yet another five minutes.

5. Turn the AC off, and idle for a final five minutes.

6. Finally, turn the engine off for at least 30 seconds.

Manual Transmission LS1

1. Turn the key off, reconnect the battery, turn the AC control off, set the parking brake, and block the drive wheels.

2. With the transmission in neutral, start the engine.

3. Turn the AC control on (make sure the AC button light is on), and idle for five minutes.

4. Turn the AC off, and idle for another five minutes.

5. Turn the engine off for at least 30 seconds.

When you do the reset on A4, can you sit in the car with foot on the brake instead of blocking the wheels? Kinda sounds like a stupid question, but I don't have anything laying around to block the wheels.
